Kaikoura

Kaikoura is located on the north weast coast of the South Island. It is surrounded by large snow covered mountains (in winter) that almost reach the sea. Kaikoura is very famous for its year round population of male sperm whales. The whales, dolphines and seals are very accessable and numerous in this area.
